Microsoft Dynamics 365 Project Manager - Contract

Microsoft, some experience, lot of experience, consultant
United Kingdom

We are on the lookout for new team members to join our D365 Project Management team. We’re looking for an all-round driver who can guide teams from the strategic thinking phase to the final execution and delivery. If you like being involved from A to Z, in due diligence, analysis, blueprinting and execution, all the way to delivery, you’re exactly what the delaware Management Consulting team is looking for!

The Project Manager role has several facets. First, you’re a pragmatic leader, someone who thinks fast and can shift gears when needed. You’ll discuss strategic visions with the C-level, which you’ll translate into your project.

Not only will you be a leader who handles complex challenges, you’ll also onboard and guide your teams and clients throughout the transformation and implementation journey. Providing close collaboration, clear communication, and clear role definition are key responsibilities. You’ll deal with and need to balance multiple teams, stakeholders, and factors.

What will you be doing?

  • As project leader at delaware, you are involved from A to Z. Well, actually from analysis, blueprinting, customizing, documentation and training, up until the ‘go live’ and support. OK, admittedly, that’s from A to S, but you get what we mean. You’ll also get to do some pre-sales work. In other words, with the help of a sales team you will try to convince customers to work with us for Microsoft Dynamics 365 projects, as well as negotiate the contract parts related to project organization. Never a dull moment.
  • We are sure that being involved from the very start will also help you to choose the right project methodology. Activate? Agile? Waterfall? Or no certified methodology at all? You get to decide what is best for each specific case.
  • Your motto? A good preparation is half the work. To make sure that everything is ready when it should be, you are in charge of budgeting and planning time and resources.
  • Good news or (let’s not hope too often) bad news? You’ll be the first point of contact for customers and delaware colleagues alike. They will also turn to you for expert advice and regular updates on progress and deadlines.
  • Green field implementations? Check! Conversion projects? Double check. Customers in a broad array of industries? Triple check. Well, it’s safe to say that you’ll get a lot of variety in your role. Ready to start juggling?
  • As a project manager, you’ll build bridges. Not only between the teams of delaware but also between delaware and the customer. You can easily change hat and use more technical language with our teams, and more commercial language with our customers. Your main mission? Smooth and close collaboration, communication and clear roles for everyone on the project.

Is there a match?

  • Do you have more than 2 years of professional experience as an D365 Microsoft Dynamics Project Manager or PMO ?
  • Do you happen to know a thing or two about Dynamics 365 ? That will definitely come in handy for this job.
  • Is project management in your blood? Do you like to be in the driver’s seat from start to finish? Being hands-on and pragmatic is more important to us than correctly applying certified project management methodologies. As an Microsoft Dynamics project manager, you will need to shift gears quickly. Fasten your seatbelt!
  • Do you have a sharp, analytical mind? As a great listener and communicator, you know how to strip messages to the core. In other words, when your customer or colleagues can’t see the woods for the trees, you restore focus.
  • Do you have the ability to understand the commercial drivers, financials, industry variables – are you good with numbers / budgets and managing outcomes against SOW’s be it T&M or Fixed price arrangements?
  • And last but not least… do our company values appeal to you? We take care of our employees and customers, we are committed, enterprising and respectful, and we do everything based on a positive team spirit.

Our Culture and Values

We attract and retain only the best people who share our values and thrive in our culture. We strive for the highest levels of excellence in all that we do – with our clients, our people, our business, our careers.

We do the right thing to satisfy our clients, combining quiet confidence and a human touch.  We are open, positive, enthusiastic and energetic. At Delaware we value and invest in personal competence as much as technical competence and we all want to help each other succeed. We value diversity for the breadth of perspectives and skills it brings us and the better results it produces.

We enjoy each other’s company. We work hard together and we have fun together. We trust one another.

Underpinning our culture are our core values. They are a living part of our daily interactions, influencing what we do and how we do it. They guide how we work with our colleagues, customers, and partners.

Right to work

Please note that it is a legal requirement that you have the right to work in the UK by the time you commence employment.  We therefore ask those shortlisted for interview to provide evidence of their right to work in the UK during the recruitment process.

Delaware holds a sponsor licence but not all roles are suitable for sponsorship, especially as, in some cases, individuals are required to work on long term client contracts, and this is not permitted under the sponsorship regime. Also, in some case individuals may be required to work in Ireland or elsewhere in Europe at short notice.  If you do not currently have the right to work in the UK we will still consider your application.

If your application is successful beyond the first interview stage we will consider whether sponsorship is a possibility or, where appropriate, whether there are any other immigration options available but unfortunately we cannot guarantee that sponsorship will always be possible.
