SharePoint Specialist - Contract

Best Practice Strategy

• Develop and implement SharePoint best practices to optimize performance, security, and user experience.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on SharePoint best practices.

SharePoint Migration

• Plan and execute SharePoint migration projects, including data, site, and application migrations.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure a seamless transition with minimal disruption.
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues promptly.

SharePoint Discovery and Implementation

• Lead discovery sessions to gather requirements and understand business needs.
• Design and implement SharePoint solutions aligned with organizational goals.
• Act as a solution architect—creating solution blueprints and ensuring scalable, maintainable implementations.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in SharePoint administration, migration, and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, workflows, and customization.
• Demonstrated solution architecture experience—designing scalable SharePoint solutions, creating solution blueprints, and aligning technical implementations with business goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Project management experience is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SharePoint Online and Office 365.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint administration.
• Knowledge of SharePoint security best practices.
• Certification in SharePoint or related technologies.

Delaware holds a sponsor licence but not all roles are suitable for sponsorship, especially as, in some cases, individuals are required to work on long term client contracts, and this is not permitted under the sponsorship regime.
