Antwerp / Beijing, 15 March 2016  – Service provider Delaware Consulting International opens two new branches in China: one in Beijing and one in Hong Kong. With this fourth and fifth office in China, the company expands its global presence as well as its range of services.

Delaware Consulting has been in China since 2005, when a first branch was established in Suzhou. Harbin and Shanghai followed in 2006 and 2010 respectively. 130 people, all told, are on the payroll already in China. “Our aim, by 2020, is to at least double our local presence, to 300 employees,” says Filip Decostere, Partner in charge of Chinese operations.

The Chinese branches of Delaware Consulting International work for both local Chinese customers and for the various branches of Delaware Consulting worldwide. The new branch in Hong Kong is mainly focused on Sitecore e-commerce projects while, in Beijing, the focus is on mobile, OpenText and SAP.

“Beijing and Hong Kong are major poles of growth within China,” said Decostere. “With our new branches over there, we are closer to economic developments and close to both clients and prospects. Within the framework of our GLocal approach, we have appointed Tim Ding as a local Managing Director.”

Delaware Consulting’s global network has expanded rapidly in recent years. In the past 12 months new regional offices were also opened in the Philippines, Malaysia, Brazil, Hungary and the United Arab Emirates. This expansion fits perfectly in Delaware Consulting International’s expansion strategy. All together, Delaware Consulting now has 24 regional offices and over 1,300 employees.
