Masterclass: Industry 4.0 in food

Masterclass: Industry 4.0 in food

Turn Industry 4.0 investments into measurable results in your food factory

Food manufacturers are dealing with growing challenges, such as more complex demand, fluctuating raw material quality, talent shortages, increased sustainability expectations, and ever-stricter food safety requirements.

Industry 4.0 technologies, such as Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data) have the potential to tackle these issues. Yet many companies find it difficult to transform new technologies into tangible business results.

This two-day masterclass provides industry-specific insights, practical tools, and interactive coaching to help you create a focused Industry 4.0 strategy for your factory.

Is this masterclass for you?

This masterclass is built for food companies looking to take a structured, practical step forward in their Industry 4.0 journey

It’s the right fit if you:

  • Are investing in digital solutions but see only incremental improvements instead of measurable operational gains.
  • Struggle to decide which digital initiatives will truly deliver return on investment.
  • Want better alignment between operations, quality, supply chain, and IT around a shared Industry 4.0 direction.
  • Prefer practical tools and real-life food industry cases over generic or overly theoretical sessions.

What you will walk away with

After two intensive days, you won’t leave with abstract ideas, but with concrete outputs you can immediately use within your organization:

  • A first draft of your Industry 4.0 strategy
  • A clear and actionable roadmap with prioritized next steps
  • A maturity assessment of your current Industry 4.0 capabilities to support better investment decisions
  • Tools, templates, frameworks and learning materials you can reuse internally
  •  Individual coaching tips and insights relevant to your role and organization
  • Membership to our Industry4Food community for continued exchange with peers
The masterclass offered us the tools we were looking for to establish a strategy and roadmap in shaping our factory of future

What makes this masterclass different?

This masterclass is grounded in a threeyear research project conducted with the University of Antwerp, examining how companies can generate higher returns from their Industry 4.0 investments.

By studying successful adopters, we identified ten strategic transformations and three key barriers that hold most organizations back:

  • Lack of knowledge
  • Lack of strategy and roadmap
  • Lack of organizational transformation

The program is specifically designed to help you overcome these barriers. It combines structured knowledge sharing with strategic guidance and organizational insights, so you can reduce trial-and-error and focus your efforts where they matter most.

For who?

  • Operations leaders seeking to drive innovation and efficiency
  • IT executives aiming to align digital strategy with business goals

  • Cross-functional teams ready to kickstart a company-wide Industry 4.0 program

To maximize impact and foster internal alignment, we strongly recommend companies enroll in pairs: one operations leader and one IT leader. This masterclass does not require any prior knowledge of the topic or technical skills.
